1. License
PDflow is released under the MIT License. You can use it for personal, commercial, or educational purposes. You can modify it, redistribute it, and sell products built on it. The only requirement is that the copyright notice and license text travel with any redistribution.
2. No Warranty
PDflow is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We test the app thoroughly on Windows 10/11 but cannot guarantee it will work flawlessly on every hardware configuration, in every language, or in every document workflow. Use at your own discretion.
3. Limitation of Liability
In no event will the authors be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the app. The app processes documents locally and never transmits them; your files remain under your control at all times.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use PDflow to violate any law, infringe intellectual property, generate forged documents, or harass others. The app is a productivity tool, not a forgery kit. We may refuse support for these use cases.
5. Updates
We release updates to fix bugs, improve performance, and add features. Updates are optional — you may continue using any version you have installed. The app does not auto-update without your consent.
6. Third-Party Components
PDflow is built on PySide6 (LGPL), PyMuPDF (AGPL), RapidOCR (Apache 2.0), ReportLab, and other open-source libraries. Their licenses apply to their respective components. The full license list is available in the About section of the app.
7. Termination
You may stop using PDflow at any time — simply uninstall. Since there is no account and no cloud sync, nothing needs to be deleted on our end. This agreement terminates automatically when you uninstall the app.
8. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the project maintainer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
